Preserving Mother Nature, One Flower At A Time
Handcrafted wall art using real botanicals. Foraged leaves, flowers, grasses mushrooms and moss are used to create images of individual trees, forests, meadows and flower arrangements. Arranged on glass in a frame, all the negative space is completely clear. The solid round wood frames all begin with a layer of shimmery resin in a variety of colors. Once arranged, all the botanicals are sealed and protected in UV inhibiting epoxy resin so that everything remain dimensional and touchable. When viewed from the side it looks like the flowers are emerging from water.
Art Inspired By Mother Nature
Awed and inspired by the huge variety of flowers, trees, grasses, moss, leaves and rocks all around us, I have a powerful drive to save some of what makes this planet so special and wonderous.
I love to create imaginative and unique wall art depicting individual trees, wild meadows, mysterious forests and flower gardens in vases!
Glow in the dark moons and stars sparkle in numerous pieces and most have a critter inhabiting them somewhere...owls, butterflies and dragonflies are popular residentsđź’•
My Story:
Newly transplanted to Lacey, Washington, I am excited to share my art with a new community! A list of upcoming art shows will be posted soon as well as a list of retail shops that will carry my art. Feel free to reach out with any questions or creative ideas!

Meadows On The Wall:
Beautiful wildflowers and native grasses are gathered, dried carefully to retain their natural form and hand-painted to keep their vibrant color. Then arranged on glass or in a wooden circular frame, accented with stones or moss with a resident butterfly or dragonfly inhabitant. A Glow in the dark moon and stars are also frequently found in the Wild Meadows On The Wall.
Forests:
Whole, mystical forests can be created using various sticks, twigs, moss, mushrooms, ferns, acorns and leaves.
Pathways and streams made from shiny mica, crushed glass or quartz, weave their way through the moss, ferns, mushrooms and flowers, wandering from one side of the picture frame to the other.
Snow has been found in several forest pieces and always the resident creatures...a wolf or a bear can be spotted as well as a real teensy snake or two...no, really !
Individual Trees:
Weeping Willows, Dogwoods, Maples and Four Season Trees created with real leaves and flowers on a landscape of moss, flowers, ferns, rocks, streams and Glow in the Dark Moons. Skeleton leaves in metallic tones, accentuated with metal gears and levers create a Steampunk style tree.
Crushed glass, real flowers and grasses are also great for depicting various trees, real or imagined! Tree residents include Owls, Redbirds and the occasional bat or cat!

Frozen In Time Botanicals (formerly known as Frozen In Time Art) is new to Lacey Washington.
The beginning happened in the fall of 2017 in Canton, Georgia. New to that area, I was delighted to discover an abundance of Mica, a common, shiny, metallic-looking mineral that can be found in shades of gold, silver, pewter and rose gold. Interested in finding a fun use for this pretty element I began gluing them onto flowerpots to brighten them up a little.
At a local winery/gift shop I discovered Live Edge, resin-inlay tables! I thought how pretty the mica would look flowing down the middle of the two inverted slabs of live edge oak! I promptly researched the process of creating such a cool table and stumbled into the Wonderful (albeit, sticky) World of Resin.
My first attempt was to create a miniature version of the table. Lacking the space or wood working tools needed to create the necessary mold for making a table, I used a picture frame instead and substituted wood discs for the live edge slabs. The resin pathway meandered across the frame from one side to the other with Mica sprinkled throughout. Mission Accomplished...But it was anti-climactic.
I was underwhelmed so I decided to create a tree using a leather belt for the trunk and branches and small leaves from a hedge because the leaves more to scale. Wood discs and crushed glass were now incorporated into the bottom of the picture as landscape
Luckily, I was invited to display some of my initial pieces in the fitness center where I was personal training at that time. The enthusiastic feedback and sales encouraged me to continue creating more artwork which improving my skills and widening the range of subject matter.
Selling at local and away Art Shows became my new career. Averaging 16 shows a year, business was good!
Preserving Wedding flowers evolved over time as more people requested this service. Networking with local florists and wedding venues expanded this niche market further.
Frozen In Time Art was the original name...Frozen In Time Botanicals feels like a more descriptive title so the name change became official once we arrived in Washington 9/15/2026.

"Having my wedding bouquet transformed into a custom piece was the best decision. The flowers look just as vibrant as the day I walked down the aisle."

"The depth is incredible. Looking at it from the side really makes the moss and quartz feel like they're floating beneath pure spring water."

"An absolute centerpiece in our living room. You can feel the care and artistry in every single twig and wildflower."
