The Unique Preservation Process

Discover how wild botanicals, natural minerals, and delicate blooms are transformed into lasting three-dimensional art. At Frozen In Time Botanicals in Lacey, Washington, a self-taught technique captures nature's fleeting beauty and seals it forever in clear UV resin.

Step 1: Foraging and gentle preservation

Every composition begins outdoors. We carefully grow or forage real botanicals, including wildflowers, forest moss, twigs, mushrooms, and wild grasses, alongside quartz, beach rocks, and crushed glass. Instead of pressing them completely flat, each botanical is meticulously dried to maintain its original, natural shape and structural depth.

Step 2: Delicate color correction

Naturally dried flora loses its brilliance over time. The secret to keeping our pieces vibrant for decades is by painting the botanicals that fade. Each petal, leaf, stem and moss is touched by hand to restore its organic hue, ensuring that the finished art retains fresh, lively color that never fades.

Step 3: Dimensional UV resin sealing

The prepared botanicals are arranged onto framed glass or wood canvas and sealed with protective UV resin. Unlike blocks or flat frames, this proprietary technique creates a sculptural effect where flowers and trees appear to emerge directly from water. The result is a durable, touchable masterpiece that will brighten your home or office.
